* Spent many, many years attending hipster gatherings in warehouses. Squats and lofts in the industrial section of town. And yes, in Oak-town. RIP all those who lost their lives with such a panicked and frightening end. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

* I got talked out of my kitchen reno idea. :( For all good solid reasons, so....I'm okay with it. I think I'll go back to some of my original ideas of how to make this kitchen more functional and the first thing I do need is a gas cooktop. Then new countertops and sink....and hopefully hardwood throughout the downstairs which will include the kitchen.

* The spin bike is something amazing! I'm getting muscles where I didn't know muscles could be gotten! I'm glad I made this investment. I'm still walking but now have this added cardio and can work out on the rainy days. Of which we've been getting many.

* Feeling that "itch" to sit down and write something from start to finish of poetic worth. I haven't felt this way in months. Admittedly, I don't know what that "something" is but I've got a feeling that if I wait for it, it will reveal itself.

* This review knocked me breathless - Thinking At 36,000 Feet - and now I want to pick up this book. I hope it's half as good as the review.

Me, too. It's slightly concerning....but I'm not panicking. Yet. Still trying to find my way to a clear spot inside my mind...this year has been...discombobulating.

The warehouse fire is just so horrible. So many lives lost.

The idea of a kitchen reno is very appealing to me but the reality of what one goes thru to get there, not so much. I hope the adjustments you make get you feeling comfortable with it all again.

That fire. And the hubris. It feels like a memory of my own, L, in so many ways.

Right? Who wants to be doing dishes in the bathtub for months....but I do need some updates, so I'm going to refocus.

Can't wait to see the new prompt.

Got the itch myself last night, but it was undefined. Now with you needing to write a poetical something it's all good. Hope you share it with us here, if not on Idol.

A kitchen update sounds very doable. The complete reno reminds me of that old movie...with I think William Hurt...about a doctor with throat cancer. Of course the reno was a metaphor of his transformation, but it was an entertaining fairytale.

Fairytale of New York! I am familiar with the version used in P.S. I Love You. This is cleaned up a bit I think. (Grin)

I need to find my way back to my muse, M. He seems to have gone walkabout. Or is hiding from the draining drama.

And I hope you go with that itch, too! These past few prompts haven't been overly inspiring. ;)

I want a gas cooktop!! That's my main motivator!

I used to be the most diehard Pogues fan in all the world. I do like this song!

I've got to scratch it, C! I'm going nuts waiting for the words to flow again.

That song! Shane! So much love for it!
