You published it! Congratulations and well done :D

eta: found the amazon uk version so I could purchase :)

How did you source the cover? (Which looks amazing!)

eta2: one more edit! Let me know if you have any promo stuff I can reblog on Tumblr/Facebook/etc! If not I can always make a Tumblr post myself :)

Thank you, L! *hugs* It was a HUGE decision and I've been see-sawing all over the place about it...but finally a flister convinced me it's the way to go. And I do need closure on this particular story. I know you've discussed e-publishing and I will definitely keep you informed as to my experience with this and my overall impression.

Formatting was time-consuming. The cover was an easy thing to make once I had decided on the photo. I just used one of the templates on the amazon publishing site.

Tell me what promo stuff would look like! I'm so seldom on tumblr and I don't have a FB. I am trying to sort Instagram right now.

Closure is good! :D

A promo would be similar to the post you made here? The cover and a link to purchase it. Maybe a short excerpt/blurb.

example a post made using the link: http://bookshelfmusings.tumblr.com/post/160345453073/amazoncom-cold-sober-ebook-theresa-sopko
example with a photo: http://tdcloud.tumblr.com/post/157375701427/a-solstice-broken-a-lover-more-lost-than-ever
third example: http://tristamateer.com/post/151837047564/my-small-ghost-chapbook-is-free-on-kindle-for-the
4th: http://alynsilvia.tumblr.com/post/122853817133/free-to-download-today-freebie-deal-ends-july

the first five tags are trackable on Tumblr so book promo/ebook/indiebook or something similar and then things about the book which people might click on, modern myth/modern fairy tale, romance, etc. Try searching a few tags until you see things that you think are similar to your product coming up in the results? :)

This twitter promos books: https://twitter.com/AuthorNetwork

I can throw something on FB on my author page no problem :)

Formatting terrifies me because I've downloaded ebooks where one middle chapter has all the margins messed up but returns to normal after, and that's not something you'd catch, especially on multiple formats, unless you skimmed through every page on your e-reader again.
I guess you made your own cover! I am not so talented as that :P But please throw all the wisdom my way, anything you discovered through this that you wish you'd known before you started the process :)

Congrats again!

!!!!! This is yours? Woot, congratulations! I must read it!!! But how can I? I don't have Kindle or any of that 21st-century stuff - is there a print edition? or, like, a PDF file or something?

Congrats! That's awesome!!!! Closure sounds like a great thing and hey, being a published author isn't half bad either :-) You rock, Lady!!!

Oh, and I found it on German Amazon, too, so I could buy it.
