* THANK YOU, flisters, for reading, commenting, and voting this week in therealljidol! I made it through! I appreciate every vote of confidence. This week we have two entries to write before Thursday evening. I'm going to have to be careful about budgeting my time and prodding the goat-footed Muse. This also means no The Vampire Diaries this week. Which is just as well. I'm frustrated by it and certainly don't need to be distracted by fix-it plot bunnies.....

* Kidling1 got upgraded to First Class and is now a believer. Heh. At least her flight was a good experience because returning to her car that hadn't been started for three months was a bad experience. Ugh. We now have a Serious Problem and my goal is to keep things as smooth and carefree as possible for the girl while she enters her final year of law school. She has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on her plate to be worrying about this freakin' pile of crap car and The Viking had better figure it the hell out before I just log onto USAA and buy her a car online and have it delivered. I am finished with his slapdashery in regards to vehicles. I really am.

* Out of the blue I've been offered a nice editing job. It's weekly, pays well, and I can fit it in. It will require me to slough off some of my current hermit crab shell...so we shall see. Am I ready to re-enter the world?

* This is a decent link to good ghost story novels - Modern Chills. I think Straub's Ghost Story is one of the best. What is/are your favourite ghostly novels, flist??

Your entry this week was so strong. Wonderful.

Sorry to hear about Kidling1's car.

Congratulations on the job offer! You would, of course, be an awesome editor. Hope you will always have time to write. I'm selfish. I want to be able to read your writing. Hugs

*hugs* Thanks, M! So much! It will be tricky to fit everything in this week...and have two strong entries....But it's a good challenge!

I'm excited about this job! Put some pin money away.

I bought "Meddling Kids" a few weeks ago, and have it in my to-read pile.

"The Graveyard Book" and "The Shining" and "Ghost Story" are all excellent.

Richard Adams' "Girl in a Swing" is good, I could argue that Anne Rice's first two Mayfair Witches books are ghost/spirit stories (although the series sadly tanks in the next book.)

Hmm. Have read plenty, but need to do a little digging to think of more titles.

I have Meddling Kids on my wish list! I will be anxious to hear your thoughts! Yep *nods* I've read all those titles. I am such a Straub fangrrl, I really think his work is best. Didn't care for the Adams. And the first Rice IS wonderful!!! I need to think of some more titles, too. Let me know what you come up with, A!

First class - how awesome! But that sucks about her car. Hope your husband can get it sorted!

Congrats on the job!

Job! Awesomesauce, BB! You'll be fab.

Sad car news. I know that is frustrating for both of you. I love the threat about going online. I didn't even know that was a thing. Good luck!
